During the last 12 months we have spent valuable time understanding the needs of our independent practices, talking to many of our Sharks and from the common themes we have created learning materials that are making a huge difference to our practice teams. We have had some fantastic feedback from our practices. So far we have launched the ‘Discovery’ programmes i.e. Onboarding for Optical Assistants, as well as new Shark Induction courses and are now ready to share more details on what’s coming next. To help create awareness of exactly what is available, the team have produced a useful Hakim Group Learning & Development Catalogue for 2023 that outlines this. The learning provided is fully funded by HGHQ, and occasionally for certain programmes, there will be a small contribution per delegate (which will just contribute to the provision of 'food + facilities' in delivering these new programmes throughout the year). Many of you have previously outsourced learning. Often this learning is generic i.e. Customer Service Training which misses the uniqueness of our industry. What you have with our inhouse HG Learning & Development Team is nearly 50 years of combined Optical Experience and many more years’ experience of developing others. Plus, you’ll experience bespoke industry specific content, relevant to life in practice. No doubt, this will make a valuable contribution to the development of our fantastic practice teams.
